Notice of will filed that appeared in the Russian River Flag, on 12/25/1873:

From the Sonoma Democrat of the 20th inst. we learn that the will of J. Elias Day, of Healdsburg, has been filed. He bequeaths to Elizabeth M. McElroy one-half interest in the farm owned jointly by Wm. McElroy and testator, provided that the said Eliza M. McElroy shall, within six months, pay to Louisa Renfro one hundred dollars, and to Loretta Lewis fifty dollars; to Louisa Renfro a certain promissory note for $300; to Lorreta Lewis a certain promissory note for $50; to Stephen Day all the residue of estate; on the payment to him within six months of $500 to Elias Edwin Day, and $100 to Damras Shrimplin. Stephen Day of the State of Kansas and Wm. McElroy of Sonoma county are nominated executors, without bonds.
